Q What is the time frame for scheduling a new patient appointment and what information will I need to bring with me?
A The average wait for a new patient appointment is 2 – 3 weeks. Depending on your health insurance you may be required to get a referral from your primary care physician. You should also bring any past medical records such as, any pelvic surgery reports, past pregnancies, latest pap smear, infertility testing that you or your partner have had and any other information that you feel is pertinent for the doctor to review.

Q If I have laparoscopic or hysteroscopic surgery how long will I be off work?
A Generally the patient should be able to go back to work in 4 days.

Q Does the physician perform tubal reversal?
A Yes, Dr. Marrero does perform laparoscopic microsurgical tubal reversals, however, the patient must schedule a new patient appointment so that she can be evaluated by the doctor.

Q Does my insurance company cover medications?
A Usually insurance companies will cover the medications unless the patient's employer has chosen to have an infertility exclusion in their benefits.
